Augusta should turn out en masse

only encourage tho Amateurs, but
roll up a grand benefit fund for the
military organizations which are ar
ranging to go to Cleveland’s inaugti
ration. Thu object is worthy of a
public demonstration, and the play
ers deserve the most enthusiastic
hearing. It is a mistake to suppose
that talent is confined to the profes
sional stage. Indeed this town has
proven that genioua and talent are
found among its cultivated young
ladies aud gentlemen. The east to
night is especially well selected, and
each member has illustrated pro
nounced ability. We will say un
hesitatingly that three more beauti
ful «r accomplished young ladies
never appeared in any play on any
stage, either professional or amateur,
and an ovation is awaiting the ris
ing of the curtain to-night. Many
of their admirers have already gone
into raptures over “The Comrades,"
and we know whereof we write, when
we praise the whole caste. The play
is eepecially well suited for the oc
casion and the intevals between
the acts will be tilled in with music

from the Pirats will be one of the
