It WoUld lesson tho temptation to
dress beyond your income,
If every one dressed plainly but
nearly for church services, persons in
moderate circumstances nnd the poor
would be more likely to attend.
Moderation in dress would improve
the milliners of the congregation by
preventing the wandering of the eyes

It w ould lessen, on the part of the
rich, the temptations of vanity.
It would Issseu, on the part of the
poor, tlic temptnt ! ons of envy, unchar,

It would relieve our means of a se

Shall The Town Cow* Go.
Tlie town cows are giving our
country friends a great deal of trouble
by foraging on their buggies when
they come to town to do their trading.
We think the cows should be kept up
all the time, there is nothing on tlie
streets for them to ent and they
should not be allowed to tresspass on
the buggies of the men we expect to
get our living out of. Are not the
owners responsible for the damage
they do to the property of our country
f,lends, this is a nice point of law.
