Odd Fellows the world over will
eelebrate the birth of the order on
April 26th. Fitzgerald lodge and
Magnolia lodge, Daughtersof Rebekah,
will celebrate at the G. A. It. hull.
The program for the evening will be
as follows:
Monday evening at 7:30 all Odd Fellows will
assemble at the Odd Fellows’ hall to march in
a body to the G. A. R. hall, where they will be
met by the members of Rebecca lodge. Noble
Grand John Seanor taking charge of the pro¬
ceedings, assisted by N. G. of Rebekah lodge,
Mrs. S. B.Coe, V.G. Sam Fleming and Re¬

Sidewalk Resolution.
Be it Resolved by the City Council of
the City of Fitzgerald, Georgia:
1. That a sidewalk be, and same is
hereby ordered to he constructed on
each side of Fine avenue, in said city,
between Main street and Sheridan
street.
2. That said sidewalk shall be ten
feet wide, and shall he built of the
materials and in the manner pre¬
scribed by ordinance No. 30 of said
city, and shall be placed on the grade
established fo.r said street by the city
engineer, and approved and adopted
by the city council.
3. That said sidewalk shall be built
within 30 days from the publication
of this resolution in the official paper
of the city, and any and all portions
of such sidewalk not built within said
time, and according to ordinance No.
20, then bids for construction of the
same shall ee advertised and the side¬
walks shall he built by the street com¬
missioner as provided bySect'on 11 of
ordinance No. 30, and the cost shall
be reported to the city council by the
commissioner, and such costs shall be
taxed against the property abutting on
such sidewalk as provided in said sec¬
tion of said ordinance.

That is what D. C. McCOLLUM says. He has been
in ihe CLOTHING BUSINESS too long. Don’ know any¬
thing else. His son Me., Jr., will stay with him this sum-
mer if he don’t go with Cap. Pressen to Cuba to clean out
the Spaniards. But Gen’l Weyler withdrew his troops as
he heard that the Fitzgerald Legions were coming, and so
they will not have to go.
