Wants Some Literature.
Tim Fitmbkald Lkapku .
Silts—There is at present a great
interest in this vicinity in regard to
the growth of your city, and the lovely
winters you have. With the right
kind of literature to distribute among
the people of this part of Greenland
—or rather Ohio—in the lower lake
regions, would be to your interest as
a city. I have just returned from the
South. I spent the winter at Abbe¬
ville, and made your city a visit. I
was amazed at the wonderful growth
in so short a time. Having previously
known something about, the history of
Fitzgerald through my brother, W. E.
Waltz, who hus the honor of being the
first man to be married in your city
on January 1, '96. I am very much
pleased with the climate and the hos¬
pitality of the people in the South,
and expect to make it my future home.
What 1 want is to place me in corre¬
spondence with some one interested
in your colony and city that would
furnish some literature that would as-
s j s ^ lue j n persuading; a number of our
people to go South, There ia at pres-
“ great many people that are al-
most persuaded to change climate,

settled on going South next fall and
expect to nave at least tell Gl’ H dozen
families to follow Suit.
Now, if you have any inducements

you 111 the .near future. I remain a

Her Courage Severely Tried.
Mrs. Samuel Stamn, of Loganton,
Fa., bore her thirty-four years of suf¬
fering with courage and fortitude.
Her trouble was rheumatism in the
knee. In consequense, her limb had
become so stiff that she coiiM hardly
walk. Mr. Stamn is a well-to-do mer¬
chant, and had spared no pains or ex¬
pense to relieve her, hut with little suc¬
cess, uutil one night when it grew so
painful that she could hardly endure it;
lie persuaded her to try Chamberlain’s
Fain Ralui, the effect was magical.
The first application relieved the
pain, and its continued use lias remov¬
ed all stiffness and given her tiie free
use of her limb once more. For sale

TOWN TALK.
The Public Aroused During
the Past Week.
Crowds of People Called at J. II.
Goodman & Co.’s Drug Store to
Get Free Samples of
DR. HOBBS SPARAGUS KIDNEY
c/n
Hundreds Now Testing the
Remedy in This Vicinity.
NOW FOK KESULTS
An intense interest was created in
tiiis vicinity by the announcement in
last week’s issue, that a free package
of Dr- Hobbs Sparugns Kidney Fills
would be given away to any person
wbo would call and ask for it at Good¬
man & Co.’s drug store.
This interest was shown by the un¬
expectedly numerous calls made at the
above store. Many of the callers who
are sufferers from kidney complaints,
expressed their astonishment at the
offer to make no charge for the sam¬
ples. Heretofore, the practice of med¬
icine proprietors is to require pay in
advance, and let the afflicted'take the
chance of cure.
The proprietors of Dr. Hobbs Spar-
agus Kidney Fills are reversing tiiis
practice, preferring to exercise the
golden rule of “doing to others as they
would be done b*.”
They believe, because it has been
demonstrated in every instance, that
if those affected with kidney troubles
once try these pills they will be con¬
vinced of their great merit, and get
well bv their use.
For tiiis reason they made arrange¬
ments with J. H. Goodman & Co. to
freely distribute as many sample boxes
as should be called for during the last
seven days. Everyone who asked for
a box was given it free of charge.
Some of those calling for packages
have expressed themselves as follows:
“The science of medicine has cer¬
tainly advanced when the proprietors
of a remedy can stake so much upon
a free and universal test of its merits.”
“The honest and straightforward
manner in which the medicine is of¬
fered for trial, gives me confidence to
us it. I hope it will prove helpful.”
“Dr. Hobbs’ announcement that he
lias made a great discovery which will
cure and build up the kidneys, and his
offer to prove it free of charge is a
novel proposition, and gives me great
hope of *elief.” . -
“This lis,certainly a fair proposition.
I have everything to win and nothing
(o lose.”
Many will be curious to know what
are the results of the test of these
pills now going on in the neighbor¬
hood. It is a little too soon to look
for results, probably another week will
make them known. If those getting
the samples have faithfully followed
the directions, they will be encour¬
aged to persevere in their use.
It is gratifying to learn that wher¬
ever similar distributions have taken
place, there has followed a large sale
of the remedy, and many letters of
gratitude have been written by those
who have regained lost health.
Every person who knows or sus¬
pects that his kidneys or urinary pas¬
sages are affected; every person who
has any of the following symptoms,
should make a test of these pills with¬
out delay, viz: Fains in the back or
sides, headache, nervousness,frequent
thirst, shortness of breath, pufliness
of the eyelids, swelling of the feet and
ankles, dark colored or scanty urine,
with albuminous or other deposits in
the urine, or too frequent urination.
Fortlie benefit of interested persons
living out of town who, from any rea¬
son, failed to get a sample,Dr. Hobbs
authorizes us to say, if you will cut out
the coupon below and mail it to the
Hobbs Remedy Co., Chicago, Ill., with
your name and address, a sample box
of these pills will be sent you by mail,
postpaid, and free of expense.
