County:
The petition of Pauik Hardware
Company, a corporation created

The members of the Baptist
Church and the congregation are
looking forward with much inter¬
est and anticipation to the coining
of their new pastor, Rev. Thomas
M. Callaway, who will reach the
city from Pensacola, Florida on
Thursday afternoon of this week,
and will have charge of the services
for the first time as Pastor on
next Sunday, May 1st. It is ex¬
pected that large congregations
w’ill greet the new Pastor at the
first services of his pastorate.
This church has been without a
pastor since the resignation of
Rev. S. J. Parish about Novem-
ber 1st and the congregation is
happy in the thought that hence¬
forth they will have the care,
assistance and direction of a regu¬
lar pastor again.
Fire Destroys Plaining
Mill At Douglas
Douglas, our sister city, had a
second big fire Tuesday morning
when the Douglas Plaining Mill,
about one mile from the city,
burned to the ground, destroying
something over 125,000 feet of
lumber, the office and all the
books and records.
The origin of the disastrous
conflagration is unknown, and the
owner of the mill, G. W. Seymour,
is said to be a loser in the amount
of $150,000. There was no in-
surance.
