Miss Hazel Lee entertained a
number of guests at her home
on Friday evening of last week, at
her home just north of the city.
Mrs. Helen Maldoon spent
several days of this week in Cor-
dele. with her mother, Mrs.
Shallenberger, who is visiting
there.
Mrs. Henry I). Capers left Mon¬
day for her home in Atlanta, after
a visit of several weeks with the
family of her son, Mr. C. B

Miss Lilly Dickson, who was
the guest of the family of her
brother, Mr. George F. Dickson,
left Monday lor her home in North
Carolina.
Miss Charlie Hurt Harris left
this week for her home at Ogle¬
thorpe, after a delightful stay
with Mrs. C. H. Mathews on south
Lee street.
Mrs. C. B. Watts and Miss Nan
Jo Young left Tuesday for Atlan¬
ta, to be the guests of their sister,
Mrs. Owen Phelan, during the
grand opera.
Mr. and Mrs. Lon Dickey, Miss
Marie Johnson, of Talbotton, and
Miss Fannie Boyd composed a
party who spent Sunday at

Friday afternoon in Ocilla, the
trip being made in Mr. Dickey’s
auto.
A large crowd from Ocilla
passed through the city Tuesday,
enroute to Bowen’s Mill, to spend
the day picnicing. The trip was
made over the Seaboard and it re-
quired about six coaches to accom¬
modate the passengers.

that her condition is much im-

recovery, but she is now thought
