The occasion was a pretty e<*ru-
pliment to Miss Claudia Plant of

tractive guest of Mrs.K. I. Maffett
and the afternoon was delightfully
spent by those enjoying rs.
Paulk’s hospitality.
The entire lower floor of the
lovely home was thrown into one
and masses of fragrant roses filled
every available space. In the
dining room, punch was served
by Mrs. Wright Paulk and at the

n.lI.H ULTRAS CLASS ENTERTAINED
By TEACHER.
Miss Carrie Plopper delightful*
ly entertained the Plus Ultra class
of the Christian Church Wednes-
day evening,
The first part of the evening
the class had its regular business
meeting and the new officers
elected. The new president, Miss
Hettie Smith appointed the new
committes, and also the contest
leaders who are Miss Winnie
Hopkins and Miss Zella Shaffer.
The class will meet every first
Wednesday in each month. Any
young ladies in the city not at¬
tending elsewhere are cordially in¬
vited to join this class of 25 girls.
An error was made in a recent
issue of the Leader when it stated
that Mr. and Mrs. Earle
wore connected with the
Maddocks air dome. Mrs.
dock is only employed as pianist,
and has nothing whatever to do
with the management or owner-
ship of the concern.

INTERESTING REPORT OF WOMAN’S
FOREIGN MISSIONARY SOCIETY.
Mrs. S. G. Pryor has recently
returned from Cuthbert where she
attended the thirtv first annual
meeting of the Woman’s Foreign
Missionary Society of the Scutb
Georgia Conference.
At the monthly meeting of the
Centra! Methodist church auxilia¬
ry, she gave a glowing report
of this “School of Prayer.” The
general theme of the conference
was “Prayer and Missions.” Our
consecrated President, Mrs. Geo.
Mathews of Savannah had divided
the program thus:—“Prayer and
Preparation for Mission s;”
“Prayer and Projection of Mis¬
sions:” “Prayer and Promotion of
Missions”
Mrs. Pryor told us that the
days spent there were spent in
waiting upon the God of Missians
and in learning at the feet of the
first Great Missionary.
It is always interesting to note
the financial condition of an or¬
ganization. The Treasurer re¬
ported for the year a total of $33,-
430.30. A large part of this went
for the support of our Mission¬
aries in various fields and the re¬
mainder for the erection of a new
and large school building in
Wausaw, Korea. Larger things
are expected during the coming
year. Korea was represented by
Miss Wagner and Rev. W. G.
Craw both of whom told of the
transforming power of the Gospel
in the lives of the Koreans.
Isn’t it splendid that right here
in South Georgia in our very
midst was heid a Conference the
influence of which will reach
around the world? In helping
others we ourselves are doubly
blest.
Miss Gracie Graves was compli-
mented with a surprise party on
Monday evening by a number of
her friends, the occasion being in,
the form of a farewell party to
