MORNING PARTY
A delightful informal affair of
past week was that on Thurs¬
morning at the Lee-Grant, at
which Mrs. G. W. Smith was hos¬
tess, entertaining twelve ladies.
An interesting game was played
and a delicious salad course with
iced tea was served. The guests
included Mrs. H. C. Hunt, Mrs.
J. L. McCarty, Mrs. Tom Dickey,
Mrs. J. C. Ligeour, Mrs. Will
Rogers, Mrs. Lon Dickey, Mrs.
G. E. Ricker, Mrs. G. C. Smith,
Miss Adella Majors, Miss Alma
Wright of Brunswick and Miss
Mary Young of Waycross.

The Tuesday afternoon Bridge
club was delightfully entertained
at a morning Porch-Party on Tues¬
day, at the home of Mrs. J. C.Li¬
geour on West Central Avenue;
complimentary to Miss Alma
Wright of Brunswick who is the
attractive house guest of the hos¬
tess.
The small tables were arranged
on the porch, which,shaded by love¬
ly, trees. w T as an ideal place for
the round of games which were en-
tered into so enthusiasically by the
jolly guests. Hammered brass
Japanese card trays were given a^
prizes, the first falling to Mrs. G.
C. Smith and second to Mrs. Tom
Dickey.
Delicious grape juice and cream
with peaches was served the guests
who included Misses Alma Wright,
Fannie Boyd, Mildred Hanger,
Della Majors, Mary \oung, Mrs,
W. H. Rogers, Mrs. T. J. Dick-
ey, Mrs. H. U Hunt, Mrs. (r C.
femith, Mrs. Loo Dickey, and Mrs.
J. L. Dorminey.
Mrs. «. S. Flournoy is visiting
her parents m Atlanta. Later
she will be joined by Mr. Flournoy
and they will go to Naples, N. C ,
to be the guests of Mrs. H. C.
McFadden at the “Poplars.”

ed on the lawn at the home of
little Miss Gladys Stevens on Lee
street when she entertained a
number of her little friends in
honor of her third birthday.
Sun tiowers made a pretty deco-
ration for the home of the little
Miss and birthday cards hand-
painted in sunflowers were given
each little guest as a memento of
the happy occasion.
The dining room table was
especially pretty and attractive
with its bright decorations and
delicious cream and cake was
served the little guests who includ¬
ed Mamie Redmond, Jewel Sand¬
lin, Agnes Yon Heide, Myriam
Brown. Edith Brown, Viola James,
Harry Kendricks, Tom and John
Callaway, Cecil McLauchlin and
Juluis Alien.
Mrs. E. J. Godfrey has as her
guest this week, her sister and
neice, Mrs. W. G. Hargrove and
Miss Irene Hargrove, of Macon.
Mr. Randall Bryan and sister,
Miss Marguerite, left last Friday
night for a two weeks visit to rela
tives in Kansas, Missouri and
Arkansas,
Mrs. W. J. Hargrove and Miss
Irene Hargnove of Macon are in
the city visiting Mr. Hargrove
who has been working here for
some time.
