Sam Martin Succombs
After Brief Illness.
Sam Martin, manager of the
Parker Railway News Company-
in this city died this morning at 6
o’clock, after a brief illness. The
announcement of Mr. Martin’s
death was a distinct shock to his
many friends, as there were very
few who were aware of his illness
He was stricken with pneumonia
last Sunday, and notwithstanding
the fact that the best medical skill
was employed, he grew steadily
worse and none of the efforts to
ease his pain seemed to be of any
avail.
Mr. Martin came to this city
about two years ago from Atlanta
He was a most clever young man,
possessing many good qualities
and numbered his friends by his
acquaintances. He is survived by
his wife and two children, besides
his mother and sister who reside
in Atlanta. The body has been
prepared for shipment and will by Under¬ be
taker Rogers ac¬
companied by his family to-night
to Newnan, where interment wil.
take place.
