Miss Edna Bailey accompanied
by her father, Mr. E E. Bailey,
left Monday for Atlanta where
she will take a special course in
piano.

turned to her home in Leslie after

family of her brother, Mr. A. G.

Misses Nell Frazer, Blossom

very attractive young lady and
was the recipient of much social
attention while here.
MISS MARY MARSTON ENTERTAINS
Miss Mary Marston was hostess
on Wednesday evening at one of
the most delightful informal
parties of the Christmas holi¬
days.
Games and music furnished de¬
lightful entertainment for the jol¬
ly guests who included Misses
Mary and Annie Laurie Putnam,
Eva Davis, AlleneNorth-Tummon,
and Daisy Locke. Messrs. Cleve
Miller Ed. Hook, Ted Myers,

MUS. MALDOON ENTKBTAINS
Mrs. Helen Maldoon, very
pleasantly entertained a few of
her friends at her mother’s beauti¬
ful home on Roanoke Drive Mon¬
day evening. Music and candy
making were the leading features
of the evening. Those present
were, Mr. and Mrs. Howard

BACHELOR MAIDS DINNER PARTY
One of the beautiful events of
the winter was the Bachelor Maids
Dinner party on Thursday evening
at which Miss Mary Lobingier was
hostess. The occasion was a com¬
pliment to Miss Daisybelle Thomp¬
son, of Atlanta, the guest of Miss
Isla Green, Miss Florabelle
Stearns, of Toledo, Ohio, and for
Miss Florence Bigelow, of Wenat¬
chee, Wash., who is the guest of
her aunt, Mrs. J. M. Mosher.
In the dining room the table had
for its centerpiece, a bowl of lus¬
cious fruit, and a delicious course
dinner was served to the “maids”
who included Misses Daisybelle
Thompson, Florabelle Stearns,
Florence Bigelow, Aileen North-
Tummon, Ida Taylor, Ada Walk¬
er, Carrie Plopper, Isla Green,
Mrs. Helen Maldoon and Miss
Lobingier.

city, was that on Monday evening,
at the home of her brother Mr. E.
G. Hale, whose guest she has been

THEATRE TARTY FOR MISS
DAISY BELLE THOMPSON
Miss Daisybelle Thompson was
complimented on Wednesday even¬
ing with a delightful theatre party
at which Mr. Randall Bryan was
host.
The party met at the home of
Miss Mildred Wooten where they
were served with hot tea and waf¬
ers and after taking in the
theatre they repaired to the home
of Miss Fannie Boyd where they
enjoyed cooking ‘'Welsh Rarebit”
which proved very delicious.
The guests included Misses
Daisybelle Thompson, Fanny
Boyd, Mildred Hanger, Isla Green,
and Mildred Wooten. Messrs.
Randall Bryan, Earl Braswell, W.
H. Bogart, Ike Levin, Fred Ball,

The Misses McLaughlin enter¬
