Obituary Of
Mrs. G. S. Deyo
One of the saddest deaths
has ever occurred in this city was
that of Mrs. G. S. Deyo who died
at her home on West Ocmulgee
street.
Mrs. Deyo was born in Telfair
County, Georgia, July 16, 1887,
being 23 years 6 months 4 days
old. She was married Oct., 1904
and was united with the U. B.
Church in 1901. She was a kind and
affectionate wife. She had a sweet
and loving disposition.
She had lived in Fitzgerald fif¬
teen years, she was loved by all
who met her and her many friends
were numbered by her acquaintan
ces; and her home was always op¬
en to the young people of this
town, and her friends were greatly
grieved at her loss.
Why our Heavenly Father call¬
ed this dear one to rest we cannot
tell, but we do know he is all wis¬
dom and doeth all things well and
we trust his keeping power over
the infant that is left. Besides her
heart broken husband she is sur¬
vived by an infant daughter. Her
father and mother Mr. and Mrs.
W. R. Wagnon of this city
four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson
and Mrs. Arthur Reid of this city,
Mrs. Della Reeder, of Greenville,
Fla., Mrs. Harry Graves of At¬
lanta, Ga.
Asleep, asleep, to rise no more, ™
At rest within the toomb;
Until the trumpet calls her forth.
In bright immortal bloom.
Why should we weep,
When the weary ones rest
When we know death is only a
dream.
Feeling sure they are safe in the
arms of the blest,
Although lonely and weary it
seems.
Mrs. A. E. I).
