the Extension of the
St. Marys & Kings -
land Railroad.
I, Leon A. Wilson, Secretary of
the St. Marys & Kingsland Rail¬
road Company, do hereby certify
that at a meeting of the Board of
Directors of said Company, duly
held on the 16th day of Decem¬
ber, 1910, pursuant to due notice
thereof, the following resolution
was unanimously adopted, to-wit:
Whereas, It is deemed essential
to the more successful conduct
and operation of the business and
affairs of this corporation,
that its railroad be extended from
the city of Waycross, in Ware
county, Georgia, in a Northwest¬
erly direction through the coun¬
ties of Ware, Coffee, Ben Hill and
Wilcox to the city of Abbeville,
in the county of Wilcox, said
State;
Therefore, It is hereby resolv¬
ed by the Board of Directors of
this Company, that its railroad
be extended from the city of
Waycross, in Ware county, Geor¬
gia, in a northwesterly direction
through the counties of Ware,
Coffee, Ben Hill and Wilcox, in
said State, to the city of Abbe¬
ville, in Wilcox county, Georgia,
a distance of about eighty miles.
Be it Further Resolved, That
this resolution be entered on the
records of the proceedings of this
Company and advertised in all
the counties through which said
proposed extension will run, as
provided by law, and that a cer¬
tified copy of this resolution and
advertisement be filed in the office
of the Secretary of State in order
that this corporation may be duly
authorized and empowered to
make such extension in accord¬
ance with the statute in such
cases made and provided

the amount whereof, on the first
day of November, 1910, was $2,-
800.00 principal, 8224 and with one interest

mains unpaid, although demand

Petition for Charter.
Georgia—Ben Hill County.
To the Superior Court of said
County:
The petition of C. G. Sandlin, S.
C. Littlefield and ,1. T. Taylor, all
of Fitzgerald, Ben Hill county,
Georgia, respectfully shows:
1. That they desire for them¬
selves, their associates and suc¬
cessors to be incorporated and
made a body politic under the
name and style of Sandlin Fur¬
niture and Undertaking Company
for the period of twenty years.
2. The principal business of
said Company shall be in the City
of Fitzgerald, state and county
aforesaid; but petitioners desire
the right to establish branch offices
within the State whenever the
holders of a majority of the stock
may so determine.
3. The object of said corpora¬
tion is pecuniary gain to itself and
stockholders. The business to be
carried on by said corporation is a
general furniture, undertaking and
embalmers business; to buy and
sell coffins and furniture, and also
to manufacture furniture and cof¬
fins, and to do a general furniture
undertakers and embalmers busi-
ness. The capital stock of said
the corporation privilege shall be $25,000, with the
of increasing
to $50,000 by a majori y of
stockholders, said stock to he divi-
ded into shares of one hundred
dollars each, 20 per cent of
the amount of capital to be em-

paid in. Petitioners desire the
right to have the subscriptions to

property to be taken at a fair val¬
uation to be agreed upon by peti¬
tioners among themselves.
4. Petitioners desire the right
to sue and be sued; to plea and be
impleaded; to have and use a com¬
mon seal; to make all necessary by¬
laws and regulations and to do all
other things that may be necessary
for toe successful carrying on of
sa«J cus.i.fss including the right
to buy r oid and sell real estate,
and personal property suitable to
the purpose of the corporation,
and to execute notes and bonds as
evidence of indebtedness incurrad
or to be incurred in the conduct of
its affairs and to secure the same
by mortgage,security deed or other
forms of leins under existing laws.
Wherefore petitioners pray to
be incorporated under the name
and style aforesaid, with the pow¬
ers and privileges and immunities
herein set forth, and as are now, or
may hereafter be, allowed a cor¬
poration of similar character un¬
der the- laws of Georgia.
