Mrs. Ansel Cook entertained
very informally at dominos on
Tuesday afternoon in honor of
Mrs. Walton Purdom, who is the
guest of Mrs. Thomas J. Dickey.
The game was played in the con¬
servatory of Mrs. Cook’s home,
and the decorations wore of sweet
peas effectively arranged.
Delicious refreshments, were
served at the tables at the close of
the game, and the affair was one
of much pleasure to the
who included only eight friends
of the honor guest. The guest

Mr. and Mrs. M. B Mobley have
moved here from Shellruan, Ga,,
and in future will make Fitzgerald
their home. At present they are
stopping with Mrs. Norman Dorm¬
iny, who is a sister of Mr. Mobley,

PARTY
The palatial home of Mr. and
Mrs. L. L. Griner was the scene
of a most enjoyable affair Thurs¬
day evening when they
tertained at seven tables of “42”.
The house was lavishly decorated
in white and yellow, spring flowers
of these colors being used pro¬
fusely.
The punch bowl, which rested
on a floral mound, was grace¬
fully presided over by Misses Ed¬
ith Griner and Rhea Wise. The
hostess was assisted in receiving
the guests by Miss Kadie Griner.
The game tables were arranged
in different parts, of the house and
on each was a dainty dish of white
and yellow mints. Refreshments
consisted of delicious cream arid
cake.
The lady’s top score prize,
; pretty bar pin, was won by Miss

Ethel Hines, the gentleman’s top
score prize, a scar f pin, was won
by Capt. E. T. James, the conso¬
lation, a cut glass bon bon dish
was awarded Mrs. W. M. Bryan,
and Mr. P. F. Clark received the
booby prize, a tie clasp.
The occasion was indeed a most
delightful one, being characteris¬
tic in this respect to the many
other parties that have been given
at this hospitable home, and waa
thoroughly enjoyed by those pres¬
ent.

Mrs. George Ricker entertained
at a delightful afternoon party on
Wednesday in compliment to Mrs.
Purdom.
The affair was informal but char-

Mr. Fred Ivenmyer received a

week, announcing the death of
daughter, Mrs. Chas. Dunn. Jr.,
who was fornerly a resident of
this city and was well known to
large number of friends.
