mittee of Atlarnta, have entered
into negotiations with Dr. Harde
man of Commerce, Ga., in an ef
fort to persuade him not to enter
the race for Governor, it was an

The organization has endorsed
the candidacy of Governor Harris
and is anxiens to geta clear field
for him, so as % obtain a united
prohibition front in the coming

has learned the conditions in which
France and Germany are willing to
consider peace 'proposals, according
to reports here today. The French
terms were made kuown to the Pon
tiff by Cardinal Amette, Archbishop
of Paris. nearly a month ago, it is
said, while those of Germany were
brought to Rome by Cardinal von
Hartman, Archbishop of Cologne,
