A BUSY MAN
Atlanta, Ga., April 10 —The de
cision of the United States Su
preme Court recently announced
upholding the contentions of the
people of Georgia in the Duck
town Copper case calls attention
to the officient services of one of
Georgia’s new officials, Attorney
General Clifford Walker. Aside
from dozens of capital cases be
fore the supreme court and the
scores of official opinions on mis
cellaneous legal questions Mr.
Walker’s office has handled dur
ing his nine months of tenure
‘seven or eight important litigated
cases all of which resuited in a
ivictor for the state of Georgia.

Perhaps Mr. Walker’s most
signal service to Georgia was in
connection with the legal phase;
of the legislation which eventua-i
ted in the prompt payment of
the common school teachers. Hel‘
was persistent and vigorous in
the conferences leading up to the
enactment of the law, though
there was then some doubt as to
its legality. Since the filing of
the attorney general’s complete
and convincing brief, no question
has arisen as to its soundness.
Mr. Walker is one of the few
statehouse officers who has no
opposition for re-election, at
|least no one has announced.
HEREAFTER 1 shall deposit my
money in The Exchange National
Bank. I see in recent sworn state
ments published in Fitzgeraid papers
that it BEARS EAR-MARKS of
GREAT STRENGTH. I understand,
also, it is an HONOR ROLL BANK.
I don’t know exactly what that
meaiis, but evidently it has done
someithing EXTRAORDINARY for
the benefit and protection of the pub
lic, or else it would not have AT
TAINED THIS ' HONOR.—Mr.
Reasoning Mind.
