BIGGER AND BETTER LODMS
THE AUTO SHOW. I FibOE
HERE THURSDAY AND FICH
From every, quarter indications
point to the most successful
“Three Days” show that Fitzger
ald ever pulled off. Macon has
taken a special interest in the
“Central Route” first Auto Show
and will be here Friday with its
drum corps and some thirty au
tos to make Macon Day, as Fri
day has been named, in honor of
the good roads meeting of the
Central Route, which will con
vene at the courthouse on that
date and will be presided over by
Macon’s leading good roads boos
ter, Mr. W. T. Anderson.
President V. L. Stanton, of the
Waycross Chamber of Commercé
advises us that he will-be here
Friday with a motorcade of thirty
cars from his division and a let
ter received by Mr. L. L. Griner
informs him that Milledgeville
will have several cars here, more
especially in honor of the Daw
son baseball team, which plays
here during the three days of the
Auto Show, as the majority of the
team is made up of G. N. C. boys.
Cordele, Ashburn, Tifton, Haw
kinsville, Mcßae, Vidalia, IFast
man and scores of other South
Georgia towns will have spec
ial representatives here during
this week. Fitzgerald will enjoy
the pleasure of a large city in the
entertainment of the big crowds
that will gather to enjoy its hos
pitality and renew the many
friendships that atready exist he
tween the people of this section
and the citizens' of this cosmopo
litan city. Fitzgerald has always
taken a leading part in everything
that made for the development of
the wiregrass section and its busi
ness men and professional men
have backed every meritorious
proposition that has presented it
self for this section of Georgia.
Get-Together Days will help to
develop new means to bring
South Georgia to the attention of
the state and in so doing attract

Every committee appointed to
make the “days” a success is re
porting progress in their work
and when Thursday’s sun rises,
Fitzgerald will have its holiday
attire on and welcome the visi
tors with open hands.
Chairman L. L. Griner has just
returned from Atlanta in the in
terest of the Auto Show and re
ports everybody very anxious for
Thursday and Friday of this week
to arrive.
The majority of the Auto Show
cars will leave Atlanta Wednes
day, all flying banners and flags
“Fitzgerald Bound.” They" will,
of course, attract considerable at
tention all along the line. They
will begin coming in as early as
Tuesday night and it is hoped the
decoration and entertainment
commitee will make every minute
count these three days. .
Five new cars were signed up
in Atlanta and possibly four more
will come if they get in shipments
this week.
Thursday is the big parade day
and Mr. Griner asks us to beg
you to please have your cars dec
orated by Thursday morning and
be at the show hall promptly at
10 o’clock. Keep the decorations
on the car the balance of the
week.
All South Georgia is talking
show and we would not be sur
prised to see ten thousand visi
tors each day. As it looks now
this will be the biggest thing ever
attempted by South Georgia and
especially a town the size of Fitz
gerald. It is time to take hold
now and push, every man woman
and child that has a spark of Fitz
