This is the Question
uch to the Acre.
Not How Many Acres, But How Muc :
W Seed
’ : Answered by PETWAY S

Petway’s Improved Prolific Cotton
Is the earliest known Variety: has small leaves
and Absolutely beats the 801 l Weevil. Many of
my customers claim t o making double the
amount of cotton from Petway’s Seed under the
BOLL WEEVIL CONDITION than from any other
variety.
For years I have devoted all of my efforts to perfect this seed. It's my
hobby. I take a pride in it that does’nt permit me to ship a single bag until I
have given it my personal inspection. I grow them all myself upon my own
farm. My breeding patches are stalk and boll selected, and I take my breed
ing seed only from the middle of the locks and from the best stalks and the
Ast bolls. ' i
I know that crops from my seed mature earlier than any &ther ciott'on. I
know that the plants yield more seed cotton and more lint. y plants limb
from the ground, joint closely, are especially resistent to boll weevil and by
early maturity, lessen dangers of too much rains, colds and drauvghts and there
by insures a crop under the most adverse conditions.
Do not make, the mistake of planting ordinary seed. It scatters your ef
forts, doubles your work, lessens your profits. The real economy lies in a
plant that gives double the crop at no greater expense. PETWAY'S SEED will
do this for you. ; :
My reputation is your crop. My seed will do its part if y'c)u;will do yours.
It's up to you. Which would you rather have, $4O an acre or $80? ,
-~ My stock of seed is the best I ever grew, the demand is certainly great
from all parts'of the BOLL WEEVIL infested territory, and I am sure that I
will be sold -entirgl)_f out long before planting season and it is therefore very
;mporta\xlt that you place your order at once. Last year we had sold every
seed we had by November 15th. : | '

Dear Sir—Having planted your
Improved Prolific Cotton Seed this
year, I take pleasure in saying that
1 am highly pleased at the results ob
‘tained. I find that it matures earlier
than any cotton I have grown, limbs
better and the yield is far above the
average cotton.

Dear Sir—l told you last spring
when I purchased some of your Im
proved Cotton Seed that I would keep
close tab on same and that I would
make full report to you this Fall, and
heg to report the following: This
cotton is very hardy and grows very
rapidly, has small leaves, limbs right
from the ground, joints very close,
and beats anything fruiting 1 ever
planted. I will make 50 per cent
more on the portion of my crop plant
ed in your seed than on the balance
of my crop under same conditions; in
short, this cotton suits me and I take
pleasure in recommending it to the.
public,
Yours truly,
J.F. KIRKLEY,

Mr. A. P, Petway, Eastman, Ga.
In reply to yours of the 28th inst.,
will say that I am well pleased with
the Petway Cotton. Believe that I
will get more, than a bale per acre,
although it was late coming up on ac
‘count of drought at the time of plant
ing. I believe it will do all that you
claim for it. I only used 200 pounds
of high-grade guano per acre. I
haven’t seen any other cotton in this
community as good, to my notion., It
limbs from the ground and fruits well
from bottom to top with good-sized
bolls, and earlier than I have ever
seen. J-C. SEIGLER.

Dear Mr. Petway—The seed that.ll
bought from you last spring are fine,
and is almost the earliest cotton I
have ever seen. When it starts it
fruits faster than any cotton I have
ever grown., I had some cotton that
was up, with squares on it, and the
cotton from your seed was open be
fore the other, I think that I will
plant my farm with it next year. It
is fine cotton and when it starts to
open it opens all at once.

Petway’s Seed Farm,
Gentlemen—You may be interested
to know that I have a splendid crop
from the planting of the 100 bushels
of Petway's Improved Cotton Seed,
purchased of you at the beginning
of the season. The fruitage is very
heavy, and the prospects are that I
shall have the best crop in my com
munity. With best wishes, I remain,

Dear Sir—Yours of Oct, 30th, re
garding the cotton seed I got from
you in the spring, Petway's Improved
Cotton Seed. 1 will say I pianted
these seed in good land and report
as follows: Seed germinated well, se
curing good stand, growing off _in
healthy condition, making rapid
growth to early maturing, extra heavy
yield prolific. In fact, T found many
of the limbs broken on account of
being so heavily loaded with bolls.
I consider the cotton well suited for
sections prevalent with ‘the weevil.
In conclusion 1 will say.that I con
sider Petway’s Improved Prolific
Cotton one of the best. I am,
Yours truly, H. L. PUCKETT.
Jackson, Miss.
Mr. A. P. Petway,
Dear Sir—Yours received and in re
ply I beg to say that I am well pleas
ed with the results derived from the
cotton seed 1 got from you in Feb
ruary. I consider this one of the best
varieties of cotton for the weevil in
fested belt 1 ever saw, I expect to
plant my entire crop in your cotton
next year. Other cotton in my neigh
borhood made as large stalk as your
cotton, but I doubled my neighbors
in fruitage.
The Petway's Ithproved is very
early, prolific, has good staple, lints
well, casy to pick, and does not fall
out badly like some cotton.
I take pleasure in recommending
this cotton, Yours truly

A. P. Petway, Esq., Eastman, Ga,
Dear Sir—ln answer to yours of re
cent date I beg to say that I am more
than pleased with your variety of cot
ton. The few acres I had in Petway’s
Improved Prolific this year more than
double the balance of my crop under
same cultivation and conditions gen
erally. Your cotton is very early and
fruits well. It is not the small boll
variety, either. :

Dear Sir—l have your letter of the |
22nd inst. The cotton seed bought
of you last spring was” distributed
among my tenants and the results
derived therefrom was highly satis
factory. Sk
The plant fruited splendidly and
grew off fine and the yield was fully |
up to my expectations. The tenants
who were fortungte enough to get
some of this seed were picking much
earlier than those who planted W
seed. Yours very truly, * iy
