train east of here today as he
was being taken back to com
plete his sentence.
Ogden was caught near Dear
son Luesday by Ware county oifi
cers. He was handcuffed and it
is believed that he will be caught
again,

BOLL WEEVIL SPREADING
IN 8188 COUNTY
Macon, Ga., Sept. 29—801 l
weevils were reported yesterday
by W. G. Middlebrooks, Bibb
l'farm demonstrator, on the farm
of W. H. Cates, at i.izclla, four
teen miles west of Macon, Sev
eral fields were nspected and the
weevils found to be plentiful in
this neighboerhood.
Yesterday afternoon Mr. Mid
diebreolss made an inspection” of
farms at Loraine, but reported
that none of the weevils were
found in that section of the
l county. |
He stated, however; that wee
i\.ils have been reported in nearly |
every other part of the county
!:m(! are spreading rapidly to all
farms. i .

Atlanta where they purchased
‘a fine carload of mules for the
Broadhurst, Paulk & [lletcher
stables, just opened in the rear of
the Fitzgerald Mercantile Co.'s
Store. The firm will handle
mules and horses and will appre
ciate a call by their friends.

Marion Dickson, proprietor of
the Dixie Stock farm, belicves in
the “ounce of prevention.” and is
having his cattle dipped today.
He has over 200 head of fine cows
and doesn’t propose to have the
cattle tick interfere with their
growth. Mr. Dickson also has
the finest herd of Hempshire
hogs in the state and is shipping
some fine stock to different parts
of the state weekly.

ing confidence in the commission

yesterday 13,099 to 258, for its re
tention. The election came after
a persistent campaign of more
than six months, and the oppo
nents undoubtedly polled their
full strength. Under the commis
sion form the city has prospered
greatly and made many improve
ments impossible under the old
aldermanic form, having been in
force since April, 1910,
