Lo'd and Lady Beresford.
Qo our desk lies the American
Journal Examiaer published in
Boston, Mass., and i 8 pages are
covered with the amazing diary
of the wife of the bogus Lord
Beresford—or Sidney Lascelles,
A faithful likeness of Mrs,
Lascelles—Aana - Pelky— well
koown in this city where she
married Lascelles, adorns cne
page and on aooth :r sheis board
ing a steamer dressed as 3 boy
besides numerous other illustra~
tions of disguises in their flight
when he was a fugitive from
justice. The little lady begins
her thrilling story like this:
“*There was nothing romantic in
the little new town of F'i zgerald,
Ga., in the year 1897 (my nine
teentb,) when Sidney Lascelles
stepped from the train. Fitz
gerald in fact, was only two
years old, and all the topics of
conversation were mortgages,
jnterest and rheumatism. For
this story of ten chapters we
are indebted to Mrs. Fordham,
formerly of Fitzgerald, but now
of Boston, Mass., through her
mother, Mrs. A. B. Graves, of
Fort Valley, Georgia,
