The Irwin County Medical
Society met in Ocilla, Tuesday
with fifteen members present.
They were highly entertained
by the Ocilla physicians.
Among the most interesting top
ics discussed were those of
Cerebro-spinal-meningitis and
typhoid fever. They decided
that the former was epidemic
and sporadic, Ocilla and sur
rounding country had had fifteen
cases with only two at the pres
ent time. :
The most common cause of
typhoid fever was thought to be
decaying vegetation and the nat
urally filthy condition of the soil.
Cases no more fatal and no more
of an epidemic here than else
where. The officers of this so
ciety are Dr. D, B. Ware, prest.,

Deafness Cannot be Cure
by local application, as they cannot
reach the diseased portion of the
ear. There is only one way to cure
deafness, and that is by constitution
al remedies. Deafness is caused by
an inflamed condition of the mucous
lining of the Eustachian Tube. When
this tnbe is inflamed you have a rum
bling sound or imperfect hearing and
when it is entirely closed, Deafness
is the result, and unless the inflama
tion can be taken out and this tube
restored to its normal condition,
hesring will be destroyed forever;
nine cases out of ten are caunsed by
Oatarrh, which is nothing but an in
