delightfully entertained by her hos
tess this morning with a rook party
at the home of Mrs, W, A, Dowling
on South Main street,
The tables were arranged on the
porch and in the living room which
was a pretty scene with decorations
of silver baskets of white and pink
crepe myrtle and perrywinkles and
potted plants artistically arranged.
Cut glass dishes of salted nuts
topped the tables where the game of
rook was played, Mrs, W, A, Dow
ling and Miss Eulalie Dorminey as
sisted the hostess in entértaining and
in serving delicious iced tea with
sandwiches, = Miss Lucy Whitley
gave several beautiful selections on
the piano.
