of Savannah have returned to their
home after visiting friends and rela
tives for two .weeks,

daughter Mahala, Mrs. L, L. Hall
and son Denzil of Ocilla visited Mr,
and Mrs, J. R. Player Monday,
Miss Rubye Dement will leave Fri
day for a month’s visit to relatives
in Atlanta,
Miss Fannie Fountain was hostess
at a delightful prom party en Tues
day night at her home in honor of
the house guests of Mr, and Mrs,
J. R. Player and Miss Rubye De

MISS HAMRICK HOSTESS
On Wednesday a number of the
young girls were entertained by
Miss Sarah Hamrick at the home of
Mrs, H, C, Vinson when she enter
tained at rook for several attractive
visitors in the city. The honor guests
were Misses Louise Dallis, Elenor
Dunson, Anne Chadler, Emily Neel,
Mabel Clarke and Elenor Paulk,
The apartments were adorned with
quantities of red zenlas bringing out
the color motiff of red, and the color
scheme was further carried out in
the refreshments which were wery
artistic, Tced tea with sandwiches
was served, A bright red cherry
was served in the tea and straws
were tied with red ribbon and the
sandwiches showed the color of red
being pimento and chicken sand
wiches, Chocolafe fudge was served
during the game. s

trip to Atlanta Thursday and arrived

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN
HAVE DELIGHTFUL PICNIC
Eight cars conveyed the children
of the Primary Department of the
Central Methodist church and a
number of the older people out to
Lake Beatrice on Thursday morning
where they enjoyed an all day picnic,
Swimming was enjoyed by the
children and a bountious dinner was
served at noon which is always the
main feature of a Sunrday School
picnic,

Dorminey, Miss Lois Malcolm, Miss

Mashburn’s Residence at 5:30 Wed
(nesday a, m, of the 17th with Vera
! Brannon driving her father’s - Dodge
car: for I S; Ga. and though they
had not been over the roads since
lAugust’ 1918 they went straight
through Macon and all the way with
out any mistake or car trouble, Be
fore eaving the Promise was given

several places we found that rough
red hills and curves were made
straight with lovely highways so
easy to travel. We arrived at Camp
Grounds at 1 p, m, and enjoyed the
last four days of the wonderful
Holiness Camp Meeting,
Sunday was a big day, something
like 10,000 people on the grounds
and Saturday night, R, L. Jones, G.
W. Brannon, Ellis Turner and
mother Mrs, Chas, Turner and Mr.!
and Mrs. R, H. Jackson arrived.
Others on the grounds were Mrs,
Lula B, Sheppard, Mr. Ed Hussey
and family,; George Morris. and fam
ily, Bill Mashburn, Joe Hendrix and
family and] Mrs, Collins.
~ Great plans and resolutions have
been made for next- year; and sev
eral expressed a desire to spend their
vacations there instead of some other
resort,
Preachers from all deoominations
’are ettertained free at the Dodge
Memorial, some sixty or seventy be
ing registered there this year, Most
every church is represented there
each year. The main theme is to
promote and teach Scriptural Holi
ness. May God continue to bless
and prosper the work as He has in
