“Dardanella” Musical
Comedy Grand Tuesday
The song hits of “Dardanella” the
McCregor Company's sensational Or
iental inusical comedy, are being sung
played and whistled in every civilized
country on the globe. Its namesake
song “Dardanella’ is conceded to be
the biggest song and instrumental hit
the world has ever known. Its sales
have run up in the millions.
The appearance or the big show
itself, which is contracted for the
Grand Theatre next Tuesday will be
an event in local theatricals, An aug
mented orchestra is carried so that
the many musical gems will have
the proper interpretation
No change has been made in the
cast or chorus ensemble, The entire
company and production is guaranteed
to be the original onc. There are no
inferior No, 2 companies of “Darden
ella,” and the McCregor Company,
Inc,, under whose direction the pro
duction is made, declare that the
standard of the* show will never be
lowered, nor the public hoodwinked
by an inferior company presenting
this international success,
Theatre goers are warned that tick
et speculators are ‘profiteering’ by
buying seats and holding them until
the night of the performance and
disposing of same at as much as dou
ble their original price. To discourage
this practice no more than six seats
will be sold to one person,

Hart Farmers Find

Dairy Cows Profitable
One of the farmers least affected
by the ravages of the boll weevil is
Mr, T, E, V. White of Hartwell Ga,
For a number of years Mr, White has
practiced diversification and received
all the benefits and advantages of
this system of farming., He not only
has one of the most productive farms
in that part of the state, but has mon
¢y to run on, plenty to eat at home,
and a home with lights and other mod
ern conveniences,
. Mr., White considers the few dairy
‘cows which he milks a very import
ant part in his operations. He says, “I
have been working with cows for six
vears. T started with four cows and
now have nine head, seven are giving
milk now. T sold butter at first, but
I have been selling cream for several
years, I like to sell cream better than
to make butter, I like the business
well enough to follow it a while yet,
and expect to do a better business in
the future than I have in the past. I
have a better lot of cows and I am
going to feed them better ”
Mr. White has been simce 1016, a
regular patron of the Georgia State
College of Agriculture Cooperative
Creamery, At times the prices ob
tained have run considerably lower
than the lowest of the present year.
Mr, White also tells of things he
bought with returns from his cows,
among them an acetylene lighting
outfit, and a tractor, He gives a
great deal of the credit for the fertil
ity of his farm to his cattle. Before
the boll weevil reached that territory
he obtained a yield of cotton equaled
on few farms in the state,
If more farmers would follow this
man’s plan of farming there would he
less hard times in the state. This
is only one of the many instances of
where this plan has been and contin
ues to be successful
