FWHAT 1922 HAS FOR US— Look out for twin
fbabies and other kinds, in new fashions, red-head
-16 folks, storms and hotel-keepers, and clinch all
trades as quick as made in 1922, the scer advises.
. Not so many years ago rural Georgia and not a
F%w of the other Southern states planted crops and
* Wdered its affairs by Grier’s Almanac. Grier found
fl to all problems some time ago but the al
i manac flourished for several years after his de
mise. Recently, Mr. Snider, of Griffin, came into
more or less prominence, but so far has not attain
#1 the wide popularity of Mr. Grier. That Geor
gia is not alone in furnishing genius in this respect
we are reminded by the receipt of MacDonald’s
Family Almanac, published by Reuben H. Mac
Ponald of Binghampton, N. Y. Dr. MacDonald
Freathes a spirit of optimism at the same time that
‘he deals out information, zodiacal and astronomi
«al. We are informed that there will be a marked
ichange in the styles; that amusements will he
ghost popular; that there will he an increase in
.al'riag(‘,s‘. more babies and many twins, Red
¢ leaded people will be more prosperous and there
wll be the usual quota of suicides, robberies, fail
fures, wrecks, murders, and divorces. Fair Lunza
will boss things this year, pretty much as usual.
- T.r. MacDonald says:
¢ The year 1922 will be governed by the moon.
;Children born this year will be naturally inclined
to travel and they will be very active this year.
? Hotel Keepers take heart, especially the early
?fl’fall crop: “ { W i) %
1} [This year will be a successful one for all persons
~dealing with the public as in years governed by
“the Moon, people are more active and talkative.
#'his indicated a good year for many purposes, such
%s traveling on the water, beginning short journeys
¥ and dealing with your opposite sex, asking ques
-5 tions, making researches, ete. Hotelkeepers, es
pecially those born when the earth is in the Sign
- of Virgo (Angust 22 to September 23, any year)
~ will be fortunate,

The foregoing are directors of The Exchange National
Bank, and have given us their counsel and the benefit of
their judgment many times. Many times have we come
together in business for the bank and we are informed to
know they appreciate the line of fine patronage their bank
enjoys. Their moneys and itnerests are chiefly here among
us, they are of us and for us all; they fecl a friendly interest
in those who make up our community and compliment this
bank with their patrenage.
We feel it appropriate to EXPRESS TO ALL, THE
SEASON'S GREETINGS and WISH FOR EVERY ONE
a CHRISTMAS TIME FULL OF THAT CALM and
QUILET HAPPINESS which comes to those of humble na
ture and pure in heart. .
We know this to be their sentiment and, for them, we
communicate it to all.

Watch your step.
Look for many changes this year as people will
be generally wavering and may be easily induced
to change their minds. Matters considered favo:
ably should be clinched at once or the matter may
be lost. Have all important matters in writings as
piomises will not be reliable. Do not make any
- hanges that you want to be permanent. Through
‘out the year, the conversation will be about trav
elling; amusements, making changes; discussing
anything new or out of the ordinary.
Young marred couples, and older ones also, for
that matter, take timely warning and make prep
arations accordingly.
The most successiul people of this yvear will be
I'lmsc who have a family of one or more children
as the head of such families are not liable to make
sudden or rash changes. Many marriages are
shown throughout the entire year. The birth rate
wvill be to the excess in almost every locality and
twins will be numerous. New styles for men, wo
=len and children will be created. Many diaphon
01s gowns will be worn.
Red headed people reading this will doubtless be
more ageressive than usual.
| Persons with red hair will be most prosperous.
During the year a middle-aged man with red hair
and beard will come forth with a new idea of liv
g He will make a pleasing appearance using
plain words and will not try to upset the religious
belief of any class of people.
Manufacturers take heart:
Uranns, the ruling planet of the United States,
mdicates much prosperity in all manufacturing
afairs. Business will be booming in all localities.
Pxports will he greater than ever before. Money
will he easy to get, but hard to keep. During the
vear there will he much excitement or trouble with
some foreign power. Some very popular man, high
1 official life will pass away, which will bereave
the whole country.
There will be some talk of building the Nicar
anguan canal,
All South American countries will be prosper
ous. Furope will be somewhat uunsettled. Eng
fand will have her troubles in more ways than one.
"rance will be very popular. Germany will be
prosperous and branch out in many ways. The
trade-mark “Made in Germany” will again be seen
in all parts of the world
Doctors and lawyers will get theirs.
Furthermore, 1922 will be known in history as
the “Changeable Year.” Doctors, lawyers, bank
ors, ministers, travelers, agents, and all persons
dealing directly with the public will he very suc
cessful. .
Finally, everybody take heart:
Turn a deaf ear to pessimism and remember that
the United States is and will continue to be the
wealthiest and most prosperous nation in the
world.—Tifton Gazette.
