Tne ol dest one, forgetful of self, even in that mo ment of extreme danger, called out and en treated his mother not. to attempt to save them, lest she also should be drowned! Heroism, self-possession and disinterestedness like this, is rarely witnessed. The afflicted mother saw all three of‘her children perish, without having it in her power in consequence of the ice and great dentil of the water, to extend them any ad. Chase, from the St. Johns, we learn that on Tuesday | last, Micanopy and Cioud, the last nephew of Tom Jones, came into fort Mellon, with about 2J warriors, and surrendered tuem^elvcs. Another informant states, that Micanopy, Jumper, T. yet tail, Tuskego, Cloud, Ccuu-had • jo, and Yabalucba, had come in with about 30 Indians, men, women and children. Gen.
