Morton’s Pulmonic Expectorant Cough
Syrup,
For Coughs, Colds, Asthmas, Consumptions and Whoop
ing Coughs.
A MONG the numerous complaints with which the
JsL human family are atketed, none are more common
than coughs’ colds, Ac. and none more fatal in their re- j
suits, unless timely care is taken to stop their progress
before they become too firmly seated upon the lungs.—
Notwithstanding the many remedies that have been of
fered to the pubuc, not any have heretofore proved sue
ceassful in procuring a certain and speedy relief.
The proprieter having been an eye witness (for sever
al years) of the astonishing virtues of this extraordinary
Medicine, at length deems it his duty to offer it to the
public, in a wav that it mav receiye a more extensive
circulation : and at a price that the poor may receive the
benefit of it as well as the rich.
Tnis syrup is particularly efficatious in removing
coughs arising colds, attended with hoarseness and sore
ness about the windpipe; likewise shortness of breath
ing, tightness acres the breaht, accompanied with a
tickling cough: and in all consumptive cases its use is
oarticmarly recommended, likewise whooping cough is
greatly relieved by its use—children laboring under this
distressing disease, in innumerable instances have been
astonishingly benefitted in a few days: the pleasenines*
of it is a great advantage, as children will take it with
as much pleasure as they will preserves.

PATENT MACHINE SPREAD
STRENGTHENING PL ISTKR.
5 N the preparation of these very Supciior and Ele-
Jt- guut Plasters, no cost or trouble is spared to unsure
possible degree of perfection, in point of utility, elegance
and comfort. J hey are spread of various sizes on kids
ot die best quality, by Machinery, invented expressly for
the purpose , (which gives them an uuvantage over every
plaster heretofore offered to .the public) as by this means
they can be made of a uniform thickness, and free
from the inequality of surface which frequently prevents
others from adhering, or renders them irritating and
uncomfortable, an objection, which it is impossible to
avoid by the usual method of spreading Plasters
Tie composition used in these Piasters, is carefully
prepared at a lower temperature, from a combination o
va.uaMe Resinous Gams, widi the ad-rnixture of sever*
a, ch lice aromatics, entirely separated from all extra
neous and irritating particles; and from its peculiar
c, n lination ol highly strengthening, anodyne and
s!i :h’ly stimul it ing properties i affords a pleasant and
ej it id rems-ly, in all cases of pain in the side and
breast, we .knejs or oppression of the chest; pain or weak
ness of the buck or loins ; Also, in the sense of sinking
mid iuitne.su a' the pit ot the stomach, accompanying
Dyspepsia and Liver Complaint. In Rhematic, or pain
ful. affections ol the limbs or joints, their Anodyne and
Stimulating properties render them particularly benefi
cial. In Colds, Coughs, or Asthmatic Afiections, they
will be found to give immediate and permanent relief.
Persons who fro n sedentary habits, or other causes, are.
predisposed to affecti ons of the lungs’, will find these
l '“teis an effectual security against those pulmonary
a'tacks which prove but two frequently, (when neglect
ed) the precursory symptoms of Consumption; and in
deed in a climate like ours, where colds snd coughs are
an almost unfailing consequence of the sudden changes
to wmch all are subject, every one at ail liable to suffer
from the influence of these causes would find the great
est possible secur.ty in having his chest and lungs pro
tected by one of these invaluable Plasters.
'T > children suffering from lYhooping Cough, or
Colds affecting the chest or lungs, the sedative and ano
dyne properties of these Plasters, afford signal relief.
These Plasters being spread much more rapidly, as
well as better, by il/ai l.incry, are sold much lower than
Plasters spread in the usual method.

flainutioß and Weakness of the Eyes.
nDHE great advantages of this infalible remedy places

prepared with the greatest care, and has never been
known to fail in effecting a speedy and safe restoration
of the diseased organs. It is useless to attach any cer
tificates by way of praise or recommendation. The
reputation and immense sale that has attended Dr.
Scudder’s Eye Water, is the fairest proof of its utility
and beneficial tendency ; it has been the means of
preserving sight to many of the afflicted, from the help
less infant to the aged parent Thousands of letters
have been received by Dr. S. within these few years,
containing flattering remarks relative to this Eye Wa
ter—and the cures effected by it, have been set forth ns
wonderful beyond precedent. Dr. Scudder confidently
recommends this Eye Water as a safe and valuable
remedy—and he trust that his experience as an Occu
