possible degree of perfection, in point of utility, elegance
and comfort. They are spread of various sizes on kids
of the best quality, by Machinery, invented expressly for

11, v can be made of a uniform thickness, and free
fro the inequality of surface which frequently preve n s
oth>. s from adhering, or renders them irritating and
uncomfortable, an objection, which it is impossible to
avoid by the usual method of spreading Plasters
Tir composition used in these Plasters, is carefully
prepared at a lower temperature, from a combination o
valuable Resinous Gums, with the ad-ini.xture of sever
al choice aromatics, entirely separated from all extra
neous and irritating particles; and from its peculiar
combination of highly strengthening, anodyne ami
slightly stimulating properties it affords a pleasant and

ed) the precursory symptoms of Consumption ; and in.
deed in a climate like ours, where colds snd coughs a w
an almost unfailing consequence of the sudden changes
to wnich all are subject, every one at all liable to suffer
from the influence of these causes would find the great
est p issible security in having his chest and lungs pro
tected by one of these invaluable Plasters.
To children suffering from IVhooping Cough, or
C this affecting the chest or lungs, the sedative and ano
dyne properties of these Plasters, afford signal relief.

PETERS’ PILLS!
I JVES the-e a man who may not l e occasionally
II hem fined by the ice ol Iktern’ Fills?— No! as
sureoly not ; for iheliuman frame, likeany oth* r struc
ture, will f»l into eonfii-ion and ruin, if neglected, but
by the aid of medicine judiciously applie , it is enabled
to preserve a heal hy even tone; and it is he fiat of well
tested pub ic opinion that Dr Peters’ Fil s is the medi
cine ol medicines in 'lie.prevention or die cure of the
general diseases w hich the human ti nen ent is inciden
tal to.
Do men ip robust health require medicine? Certain
ly, for the very excess of health begets certain diseases
unless duly regulali and. If li e blood is suffered to run
rim without correcting laxatives, ecsl vet ess, megrim,
biles, scurv*, -plecn. pimples, furred longue, or offen
sive breath arc llu< inevitable consequences; forex
iiherance of health, like over-rich soil becomes rank,
and prone to the p oduction of weeds, if care is not
lakeu lo have it judiciously moderated.
Rut healthy men have an antipathy to the name of
medicine ! And no wonder, for ninetecn-twentidhsof
alkihe medi- ines in tlie world commence op* rations
hy making the people vciy sick, wjinni it w'ns uunidel
lby should inaKe very well; and this inr most eases
Iheeurc is considered rather worse than the disease
But Dr. Pt t* rs’Fills is tl e «,-'cheated and particular
i xcrpiirin to this almogi univer al rule. In tl;<m there
is no gripe, no nausea, no s tkness of uny kind ; nay
they aie absohil* ly very pleasant. to ti e la'ste, aid nst
as quietly on ihesmmaren as so many comfo's orgtein
peas, even when their operations are as sudden, and
as effective, ns if they wi re as dieueiecabh , and as
sickening ns an old fashioned bolus '1 bus tl e man
who uses Pit* is’ Fills, (and where is the man that does
mil use them ?)expels headaches, fevers, blo ches, p>m
pies, &.c* &c , nnd makes his blood coarse as limpid,
and as gently tlirough his veins as a mountain rivu et,
without having put himself to any more inconvenience
in Inking the medicine than he would have done in
swallowing so many black currents.
Should ladies take Dr. Peters’ Pills ? Doub lessly
they should, for they not only assure them of health,
complacency of spirits, and every bodily comfo '. but,
' mngh their miraculous agency in the purification of
lie blood, speedily removes every .thing pariaining to
hai«hprss, pitnpl> s,oe cnsual -r tivy, fron dm flesh, an
i'l "ite* the eye, and gives nn elest i ty, and u vigor to
lie limbs, and flip general eorriuue; and hence w hen
yon-ep a lady w ith a cheek of velvet softness, a pure
lib and carnation complexion, and no easy nnd grace
'.■l bpo'irig, he general, inference lo be draw n is, that
slip - her own physician, and very particular in the
choice of her medicine, and the espicial one, that she
is a patron ol Peters’ Pills. •
Leaving health out of the question, should poets, nor
elis s.cdi'ors, mechanics, and menofgenius andscience
.in general, patronise Peters’ Pills? Unquestionably,
for 'lie vigor w hich they impart to the f-.- me exerchcs
a most, w I o'rson e influence upon the intellect: and
'he w ri crof this feels justified insay ing that anv person
about to cam out an idee, w hell er of composition or
invention, will linve a more lucid understanding of his
suhiec*, and think better, nod more to the re ini unit,
af'er he has vivified his system by a dose of from one to
four of Peters’Pifis. Persons in business, merchants,
store keepers, clerks, speculators, &c. wi I derive great
advantage froo, ttiem on the same principle ; forif the
mind is not buoyant no man ean n'tend to the usual
pursuit* "f life wi h due peespieujty, judgment and plea
sure, and there is nothing in the world, at leas: that has
ever been discovered, s efficient in brightening the fa
culties, ami freeing:' ( —'in parucipa ing in the lan
go r, decay, and unpcrtcoiibihty of their moral abode
ns Dr Peters’ Pills
To w hat may he at" >uted these singular and won
derful effects ? Why, their mysterious and inevita
hie action upon the choir, nnd tha 1 particular region of
the system whence the living fluid is generated, for
thus they do not only purify the lilood hut create pure
blood, the issue of which is healthy veins, aperies, and
other functions, uoobscured vision, firm and pulpy flesh,
smooth and clear skin, And the consequent buoyancy
"fhenrt, feeling and action. In short, whetherwetake
them as a matter of hi alth, business, feeling, or per
sonal appearance, theie is none of us should leave our
hoiisrs without a regular supply of Peters’ Pills.
