Thomas was then put under a Vo bond for his appearance at auch time os he should be wanted. What the nature of the testimony against Col. Thosas Is the Herald Is not Informed, but both he and hls friends say he did not do the shooting. Col. L. A. Wilson represent. Col. Thomas. It Is understood today that Bentley will recover. Sheriff hllller and hls passe returned last night from tho pursuit ot the negro, Tom Johnson, who murdered Conductor Nelson.
