Textile Industries have been perceptibly
stimulated, according to dealers by disa
greements, which rosy prevent change
of the tariff, and there baa been more
buying of cotton - goods wita slightly
higher prices for a few. no twit hit a tiding
the opening of some Important mills. The
stock of such goods Is, on the whole, quite
large. In woolen*, the goods .amine
which clothiers prepared orf theicselvc-a

for Immediato use are large. But there Is
no change for the better aspects, orders

by speculation. In the belief that wool

nnd fears are entertained of like losses

expected to be constdorable. The outlook
for the yield In tho spring wheat states
Is regarded as unfavorable which reacts
upon country menchants nnd checks de

Several thousand striking miners In
Ohio, Indiana and Alabama refuse to re
turn to work at the rno3 agreed upon In

Continued exports of gold from. New

reports as to mercantile collections. More
serious In Its dwsrganlzlns effects on gen

tariff legislation. Few merchants ore not
caring to try to provide for respective
wants. In view ot the uncertainty. Tho

The spurt In demand for wool ot Bos

hand to the expectation of the fall-

demand by speculators, who hellev the
wool prices had touched the lowest point.
Heavier shipment* of mcnehondlse from
Baltimore to Southern points were caused
by the announcement that freight rates

that favorable report* a* to crops render
the fall outlook encouraging. At Atlanta

Jacksonville, bnt fall prospects ore re
