must be done to save tho party. We
have some of bis sort of Democrats

the way we propose to doctor them Is
to send for Dre. Bacon, Crisp, Turner,
Clay and others to dose out the auti-

Democrats” too deep to even sprout In
November; or, in other words, they will
all be graves (7) then.

GORMAN IN BAD HEALTH.
His Physicians Said to Have Advised Him
to go to Europe .
New York. Aug. 29,—A dispatch to a
morning paper from Baltimore says: Sen
ator Gorman's physicians advise him to
leave for Europe at the earliest possible
•lay, not only for the benefit, of the sea
voyage, but for the purpose of taking
treatment at one of the Oenman springs.
Ilia health Is declared to be In a very
precarious state. An Intimate friend of
the Gorman family today said: “It is
true that Senator Gorman’s family and
friends have been greatly alarmed about
his health for several months, and his
physicians have frequently advised him
that he must devote & long period to ab
solute rest and abstain from work of all
sorts or else he would break down com
pletely and Irrevocably. •
“Mrs. Gorman has often begged Mra to
give up all work and go away to Europe
or some other place where he could be
out of reach of the politicians, who al
ways follow him about from place to place
wherever he may go aa long as he re
mains In the country (r on a line of rail
way. The senator left Washington for
Saratoga yesterday for a rest. If he does
not Improve the whole family will proba
