WAITING NOW FOR INFORMATION
Concerning Home Statement! That Have

Will Bo the Next Attraction at
Academy of Music.
One of the heaviest scenic plays that
has ever; been seen in Macoii will be
“The Operator." which will be. produced
at the Academy of Music next Monday
night, September 17.
It is said t<j have scored the heartiest
applause In nil the largest cities of the
North during the past two seasons. The
twin stnrs, Wlllnnl and William New
ell, fill the lending roles. It Is said even
the spectator has difficulty In telliug
when Willanl Is Willard and William
is William, and at the end gives It up.
The play unravels Itself all right In
the cud. During the progress of the
thrilling story told there is a stonn
scene that is calculated to send cold
shivers down one's back anil bring up
disagreeable visions of tornadoes de
molishing towns anil rninpant oceans.
Another little lncideut Is the breaking
of a trestle and the fail of a heavy en
gine twenty feet to the stage. It is
hard on the engine, for*r.n explosion
follows and chaos is the result. The to
tal destruction of n ship In full view of
1he audience might also lm mentioned
ns part anil parcel Of “The Operator.”
The Newell brothem arc excellent ac

well selected company. . .
The newspapers of Che staitfe have for
the past few days bean having n great

you a full statement about the mutter

do so now because I have not obtained
certain information that I won't before
I do make a statement. I have been
very grossly misrepresented in these
publications and especially In the arti

your Atlanta correspondent. 'Whitson's

News have misrepresented me, and
some-of these papers, and the Tele

that do me a great injustice. I hope I
will be In a position to talk fully for

TH'B CLAIM SETTLED.
Mr. A. O. Granger and the Seaboard
Company Come to Terms.
.The claim of Mr. A. O. Granger of
Philadelphia against the Seaboard Com
pany on n matter of a breach of con
tract. dn which he claimed In exchange
for Ithdrtyxieven shares of the block
which he held with all the rights of the
formes owners, that he should receive
$3,700 face value In the bonds issued tin
the road, says the Savannah Morning
News, has been settled on terms satis
factory both to himself and the com
pany,.
Mr. Granger bought this stock with
nil the rights from certain parties on
the line, of the road to Whom the Sea
board Company had agreed to give
bonds In exchange for lit. Tho demand
for these bonds, however, was not mode
until after the bonds had been pledged
as collateral security for the syndicate
t'orn. which was negotiated to complete
the property. A-claim for a breach of
contract, therefore, was alt V that Mr.
Granger has against the road. It Is
said he will be a strong atly of the new
oivnem of the road In thedr work of
reorganizing It, and (the arrangemen'te
which they will make to complete the
line Into Savannah, which they will do
by negotiating with other lines building
this way. «
