market was fairly active today until noon,
when it became exceedingly dull, contin
uing so ;.o the dose. The range for the

;receipts for tomorrow and the weakness
dn corn, but the close was,steady on good
covering by shorts. December opened at

Chicago,'8ept. 20.—Another day of liqui
dation goes on record In wheat, foreign ad
vices were discouraging. The decline
cnlight stop orders. Some of the most per
sistent bulls dropped their holdings in dis-
gust and are now talking 53 cents for May
delivery, on the other had there has been
large Investment buying by strong parties.

steady market shout 55 cents for Decem
