of mutual relations of Che Roman
Catholic and Protestant dh-urdlrta.. The
Church was crowded. The professor’s
argument was altogether on tjto some
lines as his paper read before the Unlr
vensallst convention at Saratoga a few
weeks ago, and covered the 'topic (from
the Roman Catholic standpoint. Jus
tice Baldwin, replying, dwelt briefly
upon the point* upon which the
Churohee differed from the time of
Henry V1T to the present day. In
closing. Justice Baldwin said: "Our
enemies arc Its enemies. The great
danger to RepufiMtenn government ■ In
America now comes from two sources.
The spread of Anarchy and the incor
poration ip .) our society cW masses of
foreigners urtfiumlllar With our Institu
tions land ignorant of the necessary
limits of liberty. Against both these
forces the Roman Catholics are our
best allies. It is full 'lime for alt Chris
tian men to pull together In warfurc
with the bad In the world. Our ditlef-
erroesa to nothing compared to the
points on which we agree, and it will
be the faclt of (ho American Protedi-

the support of Oatholie chutvhes on
every question of eSfles and morality."
