HE FOUND HIS BOY.
Recently tho Times contained an
Item from the Macon Telegraph stat
ing that Mr. W. P. Donaldson, member
of the county school board, bad been
to Macon In search of his son Leon,
who ran away from home the day be
fore.
We are glad to be able to state that
Mr. Donaldson’s trip was a -mecosaful
one. Having ascertained that the boy
had purchased a ticket from Iloclty
Ford to Macon, the father went up to
tho city to look after him. .Not nnd’ng
the boy, nor nay trace of him. lie put
tlo case la the hands of the police nnd
started back home. At Gordon, some
twenty miles this side of Macon, the
father, while standing <m the platform
of the car, spied the boy standing In
the crowd at the depot. Just as the car
began to move off. The hoy saw his
father about the same time, and In re
sponse to the beckon of tho old gentle
man, ran and boarded tho train and
came nome.
He had been to Macon, but falling
to procure employment as readily as
ho had expected, hail undertaken to
make lile way back home. Ho had
walked back to Gordon, where ho lmd
been successful In picking up c. Job
which ho thought would afford him
sufficient means to ride the balanco of
the way, and was only too Kind to fall
In with h’s father under the circum
stances. He didn’t want to wait to
go back and pack his valise, hut ran
back to the old nest with less prepara
tion than he left It. Ho says be Is
home to stay.—Bulloch Tines.
