The only exhibit left at the fair grounds ‘g the Coal Monument erected by Mr. A. L. Butts. This exhibit was not entered for a premium, although it contained six ot the finest coals In America, viz., the famous Montevalo, for which he is the sole agent. Wood- bridge, Jelllco, Soddy, Alabama, Dora and Femmorell. None ot these coals were entered for premiums, but there whs not a coal in the exhibit tbat would have failed to take a first prize bad they been entered. Mr.' Butts is the oldest coal dealer In Macon and one of the oldest !u the South. It stands to reason that he ought to know more about what coals are best for consumers than fresh dealers dfr. Butts handles only those coals which are absolutely best for use In this country and his large trade, ena bles film to get along with small profits. He has the best equipped coal business in the state, and not only sells the best coals at lower prices than anybody else, but delivers prompt ly and always deals squarely with bis customers, because he has a reputa tion of twenty-nine years to sustain. Mr. Buts will give a car load of coal to any one who will successfully deny the fact that he handles the best coal to be had to America.
