THE MAC02T TELEGRAPH: SUNDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 11, 1894
AT the theatre.
Wwde and James In "Henry IV." Last
Night.
A good audience »aw Warde and James
In "Henry IV." last night. Had It not
been Saturday night the audience would
have been better.
"Henry IV." was never more strongly
or artistically presented In Macon than
last night. It was a good performance
throughout—every part was weU sustain
ed, the support being excellent. Nothing
dragged, the situations were Intensely
dramatic end scenic efleets were fitting
accompaniments to the work of such play-
era The fencing bouts were thrilling and
the artists showed thorough training In
the tiae of the sword.
"CHARLure AUNT."
Theatre-goer* ere preparing to extend
a cordial welcome to Charts Frohman's
company which Will present "Charley'*
Aunt" for the first time In Macon on
November 14.
"Charley's Aunt” Is not like a great
many of the comedlet which have been
Imported from the other elde. and It par
ticularly outers With them in that It is
not dependent on vulgarity for Its humor
or success. In tone It is several keys
above the average European comedies,
and It conjures Its merriment by more
legitimate methods. The company con
tains the names of well known- player*.
"BLUE JEANS."
A telegram from Birmingham to the
Telegrapu says that "Blue Joans" might
ily pleased the people there on the oc.
casion ot Its presentation on Friday
night. The sender of the telegram soya:
" 'Blue Jeans' is one of the best all-
around playa that has been presented In
tne Mouth in years It satisfies everyone.
I strongly recommend it to all lovers of
clean and wholesome dramas as one they
cannot aftord to mlea."
he may run. '
Master Mechanic Frank McGhee May Be
an Candidate for Alderman.
Tha friends of Master Mechanic Frank
McGhee of the Central railroad shops are
urging hm to become a candidate for al
derman from the Foutrh ward.
Mr. McGhee ha not consented to run
for alderman, but it Is understood that
he has said If It would not Interfere with
bis position at the railroad he would en
ter the race. Mr. McGhee would be a
formidable opponent to all opposition In
an uldermanlc race, as he la perhaps the
most popular and best known mechanic
In the City and stands well among all
classes. * .
Mo far Mr. McGhee Is the only prob
ability In the nldermanlc field, notwith
standing the election is less than a
month off. The Indications are that can
didates will be very scarce until a week
or two before the elections* things have
come to tne <pass when It takes a long
purse to run a long campaign, and few'
office seekers have loner purses.

enough to have brought him this dis

tle of Munyon’s Rheumatlim remedy,

hours, it-is proof thait people want,
