A~PBBTTV PICTUBE.
Showing a Georgia School Teacher
Seated on'an Ox Cart.
One of them ovt strikingly realistic
photograph* over seen in Macon, and
one that appeul* strongly to the sent),
meat f those who aee it, is now in the
possession of Dr. Abbott, superintend
ent of Itlbb county's public school*.
The photogrpsb la true to nature and
represents qpu of the teachers ait the
Maaaeyville school, wlioeo name la
withheld on account of her extreme
modesty, seated on an ox cart drawn
hy a little sleek, well-fed steer, on her
way to school. Thu attitude of tne
Kucher is indicative of perfect con
tentment, while the pleasant smile on
her pretty face plainly tells tbtvt she!*
as happy and free from care us the
birds in the woods, around bur. Thera
la something so peculiarly pleasing
about the photograph, both .n the roau-
nner and expresnon of the young lady,
the docile look of the little rfwk steer
and the surrounding*, that one forgets
flint It Is only a photograph he is
gazing upon.
The photograph was taken purely by
chance. An amateur photographer was
out taking views, when the young Jady
drovo hy, and bis artistic eye took It
nil in nt a glance. In n moment he had
the wliolte situation on the Inside of
hla kodak without the athSoltencher'a
knowledge.
No artist's brain will over conceive
a prettier picture.
Professor Abbott will send the pic
ture to New York ns n typical Georgia
scene, and it 1* not nt nil improbable
that it will 1h) many times reproduced
on rcmvn* by admiring artist* who
have an eye for tile truly beautiful.

ber of similar committees that have
been appointed to visit, the various
stdto institutions In various parts of

is to examine the affairs of tho Blind
Academy, it* method of instruction,
the condition of its bulldingis nnd prem-
l*o* and the welfare f It* pupils nnd to
report n Ihe same to the legislature.
It 1* needless to say that tho com
mittee will mnke a favorable report
on their rtttrn to Atlanta, ns Superin
tendent Williams, while having made
no special preparation* for their com-
lug, has always kept tho Institution
In n condition that has never fai led to
elicit admiration nnd special commen
dation from the many legislative com-
nYtteea that have visited the academy
during the thirty odd yearn of bis au-
parlirtendency.
