Mr. Dasher later announced that' the

The chairman asked alt those present
who had registered to stand and be count,
ed. Fully nine-tenths of those present
arose to their feet. Some one stated tho
club had about *00 members, 3» of whom
had not registered.
Mr. Goorge Holmes suggested that some
one bo requested to .write a strong ap
peal to those In favor of good govern
ment to register at once, and Mr. Dasher
suggested that Mr. A. A. Allen, editor of
the Telegraph, bo requested to write such
an appeal.
President Willingham here took occasion
to extend tho thanks of th® club to the
Telegraph and tho livening News for the
bold stand which both papers had taken

present warmly applauded the expres
sion.
It was then suggested that all thoso
present who had not become members of
