THE GAY PARISIANS
Will Be-at tho Academy of' Music
Tonight.
Charles Frohman'r latest comedy Im
portation, "The Gay Parisians.”, will
appear at the Academy tonight. It
will be presented:by tho original cast,
which Is composed uf W. J. Ferguson.
Sadie Martinet, Mrs. E. J. Phillips.
James O. Barrows, Charles B. Wells.
Margaret Gordon and other*. This
nmuslng French piece has struck the
popular favor. From the tint: the cur
tain rises there is a whirlwind of mer
riment. It cannot be said that the
farce was designed with any purpose
save to make one laugh. One thing, it
shows clearly how a wife may be too
auspicious dt a husband simply be
cause he always lias a great deal of
"business" on his hands, and the ex
treme danger to the wife of Indulging
In what to her seems harmless flirta
tion. In providing an excellent cast Mr.
Frohmati has almost outdone himself
ill selecting the company. Tho play is
of the brisk, spicy, French style, and
runs through a series of ludicrous com
plications and contretemps. It,1s ably
und spiritedly Interpreted by a great
company, and our theatregoers have
a treat la storo for themselves.
