j MACON. Feb. 7.—A decrease In the crop
J movement and moderate investment or-
de-rs from the South and Wall street,
strengthened the market to a matter of
8 to 10 points. The Insight for the week,
as compared with last year, showed a
shortage of about 75,000 bales. Port re
ceipts this week estimated under 100,000
bales, or about 60,000 bales less than the
same week last year.
LIverppol comes better, but the accounts
from the yarn market and dry goods
trade Is not encouraging.
In the local market the offerings con
tinue comparatively light, while the sales
I prove theq are absorbed at fullprices,
‘ for the sellers concedes slowly on this
crop. Middling 8%; good middling 8%;
Better grades 9ty.

NEW .YORK, Feb. 7.—Tho cotton bar-'
ket was .strengthened today by bullish
cables from Liverpool and a further de-
creaso in the crop movement, to say
nothing of the presence of moderate in
vestment orders from the South and Wall
street. On the opening call the market
