HAVANA, Feb. 8.—Gen. Rivera re
sumed his seat In the Cuban constitu
tional convention today. He announced
that he would continue his duties as
delegate urtfll the constitution had
been adopted.
The convention has now completed
its work to tho end of section 22, leav
ing only three sections to be discussed.
A special committee has oeen up-

ATLANTA, Feb. 8.—In response to a
j 1 / call from Mayor Mims, about fifty clti-
M zens met this afternoon In the council
ft chamber for the purpose of taking
V I steps to protect the land and the build-
& | ini* known a* the exposition ground*.
Mayor Mims presided, and in stating
the objects of the meeting said that
something mu*t be done, and that
quickly, to preserve the buildings and
the ground* known as Piedmont park,
for use In holding fairs ana exposi
tions. He said that about 825,000 had
to be raised to insure the protection of
the property and at the same time in*
sure a fair for this year.
H. H. Cabanlss suggested that the
capital stock of the Southern Inter
state Fair Association be increased
from 113,000 to 325,000 and that the
difference be applied to the payment of
the balance due upon tho buildings on
the ground and to the payment of in
terest due upon the .indebtedness of the
association.
Mr. Joel Hurt said he ravored raising
an amount that would pay off all debts
due on both land and buildings. The
two plans were discusses at some
length and It was developed that 1100,-
000 would be needed to do this. Thel
two plans were then amalgamated so
that the funds needed with which to
meet pressing demands were to he
roisd first and that then the proposi
tion to buy both grounds and buildings
and perfect a permanent organization
for the purpose of holding fairs In tne
future was then to be considered. The
meeting was a success and arrange
ments are under way which will result
In a fal/ being given here In the fall.

Parents, look to the health of
your daughters as they approach
that perilous period of their lives
when they undergo that marvelous
transformation from girlhood to woman-
>od. Guard them closely, their whole
future depends upon the care you*give them.
The system is weakened by the changes tliat are taking place, and it
is often at this stage that the deadly consumption fastens upon its victims.
The cau.se of the majority of weaknesses of women can be traced to
this critical period of the girl’s life.
’ ‘‘About twd years ftgb my daughter, who was then In her sixteenth year,
,waa Jn bad liealth. fsbu was pale and thin, without strength or vitality, in
fact her condition was that w hich la generally called all run down. We were,
of course, worried about her, and employed tho best physicians to attend her.
They studied her ca^e and althouga they did everything possible, gave her
no relief which was permanent. The late Dr. Angel had first called my
attention to Ur. Williams* Pink Pills for Pale People, and my wife had heard
they weroa fine tonic, so we decided to try them for my daughter. We did fo,
and inside of eight w eeks the primary cause of her trouble was remuvo u and
fib# showed a decided crnln In health, strength and flesh.
“A great many people will buy a medicine and take a few doses. Then If
they are not cured they throw it aside ns no good.or take It spasmodically.
We believed 10 ft fair trial In strict accordance with directions and ourfulth-
fulness v,aa rewarded, f‘»r eho wa% greatly benefited by them. Her color cutno
toil' r cheeks arid she continued to gain In weight and strength. So you h**o
both myself and my wife believe In Dr. Williams* Pink Pills for Palo People
and have found them awonderful medicine. Wo bavo told a great inuuy
people about them and have been glad to do ho."
