An Entertainment at McTtne That Pleaasit Those Who Attended, McRAE, Ga., July 27.—At the college auditorium lost evening the “old maids” ' of the town held a convention, open to the public, for the purpeno of airing their grievances and stating their de sires. The convention was fairly well at tended considering the extreme heat and the exodus of our people to ce^arts, etc.. Pfof. W. T. Peacock of Macon, trained the young “old maldo” and 19 receiving the congratulations of hi* , frien&n.for hi* succes*. Dr. Kennon is having a drug atore’budt' and the Citizens’ Bank Is having erec-' ted a nice new building. These two buildings are on Oak street Joining tho Enterprise office and will udd much to the attractiveness of this already beau tiful block. These buildings will be modern, and have stone fronts. The Episcopal church will soon be completed, and then McRae will have four denominations with r.cat houses of worship. Judge D. M. Roberta came down this week and adjourned courts till October and granted ths charter to the McRae Oil Mill Thi* corporation la pushing its build ing rapidly and will be ready for this •cason’s work.
