ket opened steady with prices 1 point
lower to 5 points Mgher. and following
the call ruled moderately active under
covering nnd continued buying by pool
ing Interests, which was responsible for
an additional advance of 1 to 4 points on
the active positions. The spot situation
being reported there of 12.000 bales at
advance of 8 points. The ruture mar
ket nt Liverpool was Just about as ex
pected at the time of the local opening
and exerted little Influence. The estimated
receipt* for the day wer<v light! pointing
