The city council had on Its working

marked by the transaction of business
that* is of the utmost importance to

At the previous session of council,
Herman Jones reported from a spe
cial committee a majority report favor-
bill to be Introduced In thf gen-
csembly of Georgia to require the
ounty commissioners to work the
county convicts one-half of the time
each year on the streets of Macon, out
side of the fire limits, at such time and
place os the mayor and council may
direct.
Alderman Massee, from the same

house, at the county's expense, fit such
times and at such places within tho

as the mayor and council might direct.
The two reports were laid over till last
