CLOSING GAME

Team Out by 3 to 0
BAYNE IN GREAT FORM
Macon Made It Three Out of Four fr
the Touriste Yesterday—But Two
Safe Hite Were Secured off Bayne's
Delivery While Polchow Was Soaked
Hard.
Ah a fitting aftermath to the great
work of Whipple during the game* of
Tuesday Bayne eased the Tourlata over
the edge and Just for fun of the thing
dropped them before they had a chance
to round *he baaea for Juat a lone run.
ft was a case of back to the kalsomlnc
vat with the Tourists and the brush
was applied with a muster hand by
Brlndle. Both the rugged slab artist
and hlfl eight hard working associates
pulled strongly together with the re
sult of a string of circles In the places
where runs should have been on the
score board. Three out of the four
games played In Augusta went local-
ward, two out of the three were won
principally by the efforts of one man,
Whipple, and the third was landed by
the premier slabman of the league.
Out of tho last seven games with the
Tourists Macon has Jerked awuy five.
No wonder Connie Htrouthers wished
to peddlo his franchise.
