ed the first prize, a hand-painted pic
ture of a negro eating water-melon,
and tho consolation fell to Mrs. Camp
bell of Athens, and was a picture of a
group of plckannlnles. Mrs. June
Hines proved to be the champion at
Muggins, for which he received a pic
ture similar to Mrs. Howard's, and to
Mrs. Mary Lawrence of Washlhgton
fell the consolation, a miniature water
melon, In which there were several
neftro dolls . A delicious and dainty
salad course was served.
