JACKSONVILLE. Fla., Sept. 9 —With
only three hits to seven Jacksonville won
in the third and eighth Innings. Pratt
got two hits and each of them brought
two across the rubber. The fifth run was
by pretty base running by Viola and
Pratt. Pratt enticed Cook to throw to
second and sawed between the bases until
Viola got a good lead home from third.
Viola would hav# been caught, but for
Harnlsh dropping hto ball. Segars was
In good form, with the exception of the
third Inning, when, with two men down,
ho walked three and permitted two to
score on the hit by Prntt. Persons was
steady and kept hits well scattered. Thoro
were no sensational features to the game.

For Two Year* Too Weak to Work—A
Dozen Doctor* Had Tried to Check
Disease—Treatment That Suc
ceeded.
Troubles having their origin In some
weakness or disorder of the digestive
organs are very common.
Pain and burning sensations In the
stomach, nausea, headaches, palpitation
of the heart, vertigo, nervousness,sleep
lessness springing from this cause are
vexing multitudes. Every organ of the
body Is impaired by lack of proper
nutrition, strength nnd nervous energy
needed for success ure consumed In en
during discomfort, and the feebleness
of nge Is reached prematurely.
All sufferers will read with lively In
terest the story of the comploto recov
ery of Mrs. Nettie Dnrvoux from an
advanced stage of chronic dyspepsia
which was thought to bo Incurable.
To be nlllng for nine years 1h not
very pleasant experience,'* said Mrs.
Dnrvoux. when asked for acme account
her Illness. "For two years I was
critically 111 and could not attend to my
household duties, nnd nt one tlmu I was
weak nnd miserable for some weeks
that I could not even walk. My trou-
i chronic dyspepsia. I became
extremely thin and had a sallow com
plexion. I had no appetite and could
not take any food without suffering
great distress.”
”Dld you have a physician?''
'Yes, I took medicine from a dozen
different doctors, but without getting
any benefit whatever.”
‘How did you get on the track of a
euro?”
'That came about In a peculiar way.
book concerning Dr. William*' Pink
Pills was thrown in our doorway one
day. My husband picked It up and rend
through carefully. He was so Im
pressed by the statements In It of thoso
who hod been cured by that remedy
that he Immediately went out and
bought three boxes of the pills and, in
sisted on my taking them.’’
"Did they help you at once?"
“I began to feel better the second day
aftei I started to use the pills and by
the time I had taken the three boxes
was* entirely well I have proved in
my own case that Dr. Williams’ Pink
Pills can cure even when doctor* fall,
and that they cure thoroughly, for a
long time has passed since iny restora
tion to health and I know It Is complete
und lnsting.”
Thut Mrs. Dnrvoux’* stubborn Indl
gestion yielded so promptly to Dr. Wll
Hums' Plnk-'PIII* after so many other
remedies had failed i* a convincing
proof that the surest way to make
sound digestion is to give strength to
the organ* concerned In the process.
Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills act directly on
tho blood and supply It with elements
ossentlal to the vigor of every orgun.
The stomach Instead of being allowed
to grow weaker through Inactivity In
roused to do It* work and soon docs It
perfectly. No other remedy net*
quickly or so thoroughly on the blood
nnd hence no other yields such radical
results In case of indigestion.
Mrs. Darvoux lives at No. 497 Sixth
street, Detroit, Mich. Dr. Williams’
Pink Pills are sold by all druggists In
every part 6f the world. As the diet of
dyspeptics Is u matter of great Import
ancf, they should send to the Dr. Wll
Hams’ Medicine Company, Hchenectudy,
N. Y., for a new booklet entitled "What
to Eat and IIow to Ent." Among Its
contents Is a very valuable chapter on
the treatment of constipation.

Augusta and Columbia have been
faring badly of late In the consequence
of rain. A number of games have
been postponed of late ns results of
belated downpours. On Labor Day
Columbia was knocked out by rain,
thus bringing down the polls of the
day. As It was, each team received
about $150 as tlielr share of the total
attendances throughout the league.

The attendance on Labor Day in

much larger than the one at Savan

that day probably the attendance

Papers throughout the South, and
