yesterday In conference with Presi
dent E. J. Willingham of the Georgia
Industrial Home with tegard to se
curing a man for the management of
the home. The hoard of trusteca have
been engaged in looking for some one
to take charge of the duties for a long
time and since Mr. Upshaw ivna asked
to take the management ho has also
been assisting in sucurlng the proper
man.
The statement was mnde yesterday
that the correspondence with several
men had lead to good results and It
Is thought that within a few days the
proper person will be secured. Mr.
Upshaw has also been engaged In
curing funds for the home since his
last meeting with the board of trustees
nnd has lent valuable assistance In tho
work of placing some one In charge
of the homo who will he capable of re
suming the duties which were per
formed by the founder.

of the home has been on account of
the extreme caro with which the hoard
has moved in the selection of a man.
