Its first president was Mr, Ram O.
Bond, of Rogers & Rond, who may be
considered as Its founder, and ho re

ceeded In office by Mr. H. J. Lamar,
who waa later succeeded by Mr. George
B. Turpin. Mr. Turpin was succeeded
by Mr. H. J. Lamar, who resumed the
presidency, end upon the death of Mr.

ent president, entered upon the duties
of that office. The original capital was
$160,000. The bank Is the outgrowth
of what was known as tho Central
City Loan Aisoclotlon, which was
existence prior to the grant of the
charier to the Exchange Rank. The
capital of the Exchange bank today Is
$500,000. and there arc otily two other
