Tho Willingham Cotton Mills allege that the J. II. Lane Company con tracted to buy <41.000 yards of duck nt 22 cent* ner yard, and that only 220.366 yards were purchased. Tho suit la for the profit cf five cents per yard on the remaining 417.634 yards. Attorney John P. Ross represents the Attorney . plaintiff. Suit on a promissory note for lit, 026 was entered against William Wolff by S. Guthman yesterday. Another suit filed In the superior court yesterday was that of the Wil liams Buggy Company against the Central of Georgia Railway. A machine for stripping and prepar ing for use the okra grown by Mr. John T. Moors for paper manufacture, will be received one day this week and will probably be In operation tha coming week. Mr. Moors has one hundred tcras of the okra planted, and It la now ready for the machine. A large quan tity of k has been out so as to be ready to feed Into the mschtns as soon as It Is set up. As has been stated, the stalk of-the okra oontalns the ttber used In the paper-making, and for many othor usee The wood for paper-making seems to be growing scarcer and scar cer. and the paper maker* have been looking for a substitute. Experiments show that tha okra furnishes the best and cheapest of all the substitutes. Mr. Moors planted the one hundred acres merely ss an experiment as to how It can be grown In this section. Should It prove successful and the ma chines for stripping it can be had.
